An important update from us both...

Unfortunately, we have some bad news.
Earlier this week we were told that our mental health placement in Bali this august cannot go ahead due to the coronavirus. Heartbroken is an understatement; we have had to give ourselves a few days to process it all, and it’s still getting there.
We would like to thank every single person who has supported us so far. I know the people who’ve cheerleaded us to this point will know how much of a blow this is.
Words cannot truly express how gutted we both are. As people who both suffer in the face of unpredictability, this has been something that we have both had to come to terms with. Not only are we devastated that we don’t get to annoy each other for a month, but we are acutely aware of all those lives we were supposed to be helping, and how this has had to be delayed until next year at least. And we dread to think of any consequences some of the vulnerable people may have to experience; especially during such a challenging time for the whole world right now.
So where do we go from here?
We are in contact with SLV, who currently cannot confirm the placements in 2021 due to the unknown situation at present. However, that is our primary goal, to simply postpone the placement to 2021; and as soon as they know, we will know.
We have a difficult few weeks arranging the admin side of things. We have already paid for flights and accommodation. We only hope that we will be able to get that money back to be able to use it next year.
If the situation arises whereby for some reason, the placements are not happening next year; our second goal is to do something else very similar (such as world challenge). Mental health will still be at the forefront of our minds; and the ‘challenge’ will be related to such.
If there is no way of doing either of these options, we will donate the money we have raised to a mental health charity.
We will continue to talk about mental health. We will continue to advocate for better treatment, for parity between mental and physical health, and we will continue to talk about our battles, our achievements, our experiences to keep on reminding people it is okay to talk.
We hope you understand how difficult this has been for us; we cannot put into words how heart-breaking this has been.
If anyone would like to talk to us about anything, please feel free to contact us on Instagram, Facebook or phone or text (ask us directly for our numbers).
We hope from the bottom of our hearts that everyone is safe and coping as best they possibly can with the coronavirus situation.
With love and hugs,
Fi & Harri x
